CONFERENCE: RBMS: A New Kind of Professional

June 27 - June 30

$140 – $390
RBMS

Rethink how we Recruit and Retain

The need for greater focus on diversity, equity, and accessibility in all areas of Special Collections work, from hiring to acquisitions to researcher services, requires us all as practitioners to rethink how we recruit and retain special collections workers.

Reimagine Collections and Audiences

Explore how we educate both new and established workers at a time when the need to reframe and reimagine our collections and audiences is even more vital. The pressing call for increased diversity across the profession and our broader networks has sparked passionate discussions about the future.

Tackle Tough Questions

RBMS 2023 will address not only questions of how to welcome, prepare, and retain new workers for the increasingly complex demands of GLAMS (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, and Special Collections) professions, but one that addresses continuing education framed around changes in critical library theory and new approaches to our collections and careers.
